Well the season four finale of LOST this past Thursday night was HUGE for me! Many many questions were answered and some new ones were left hanging. It was the PERFECT season ending for LOST, and I can’t wait for season five to get underway. And one of the biggest questions for the coming seasons of LOST is, who the heck is Jeremy Bentham
Seems all of the Oceanic 6, plus Walt, got a visit from said Jeremy Bentham telling them about some pretty bad things that transpired on the LOST island after they left. He apparently was trying to get them to go back. And then, the big mystery from last seasons cliff hanger was answered…who was in the coffin?
The answer Jeremy Bentham a.k.a. John Locke!! What the crap. Why is Locke going around saying his name is Jeremy Bentham?
Well, maybe a quick glance at history will help us understand.
Jeremy Bentham was an 19th century philosopher/scholar that studies and advocated, among other things, the forced observation of prisoners without their knowledge of whether you were watching or not. Hhmm, sound kinda familiar?
Either way, there’s got to be something there that will be explored in the next 26 episodes and I for one cannot wait for the next season of LOST to begin!
