About

One of my least favorite things to do is talk about myself. For years I flatly refused until one fateful day when I figured out that to be successful you have to sell, either a product, a service, or yourself. Since that day I’ve worked at it, I’m no expert yet, but I’ll give it yet another try right here…right now.

My name is Thom Rigsby and as much as I’d like to say my story is unique, it really isn’t. Like Vic, my first computer was a Commodore 64 and my first real on-line experience was with Compuserve. That puts my on-line tenure somewhere around 25 years.

After a stint in the Army and some time abroad I gravitated back to computers, more specifically programming and networking. This job led to that job and that promotion until I found myself riding high on the tech sector that ultimately tanked so hard after the millennium. Laid off from my last full-time job in 2002 I’ve worked for myself in a variety of technology related endeavors since. Some have been successful, some have not, but all of them require me to work on what I was not very good at…selling myself.

Lately I’ve been doing freelance technology consulting mainly in the legal industry. While that work has been fun and interesting the time has come to develop longer term, sustainable income streams that will provide for my family now and into the future. I plan on making internet marketing one of those streams.

Thanks for visiting and letting me share a little of my story with you while I practice selling one more time.
