You know we all like LOST for many different reasons, some of us like the mythology of the show, some like the drama, and frankly, some like Kate ( Evangeline Lilly ) all hot and sweaty. I personally am a huge fan of the mythology (Evangeline is a close second though!). I watched X- Files and Twin Peaks for the same reasons.
Well the season four finale of LOST this past Thursday night was HUGE for me! Many many questions were answered and some new ones were left hanging. In a town where divorce is expected and being even a mediocre divorce lawyer will have you set for life, Will Smith and his wife of 10 years Jada Pinkett Smith are bucking the trend. In a talk show interview Monday, Will Smith said he and his wife have been able to stay together an almost unheard of 10 years in Hollywood because they agreed that divorce was not an option for them.

Jeff Peckman, the 54 year old who still lives at home with his mom and dad, petitioned the City of Denver Colorado this week to form an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in Denver CO to allow us to prepare for the inevitable arrival of aliens. After some humorous discussion the city relented and agreed to put it up for a vote during the next Denver Colorado election if Jeff Peckman could get 4,000 signatures on a petition.

After many months of anxious anticipation, Angelina Jolie has given birth to her twins at the Miraval Estate villa in the french hamlet of Correns. This brings the Brangelina brood up to six children. Entertainment Tonight broke the news that Angelina Jolie has given birth to the twins and no other details were immediately available.
people representing the Brad and Angelina train wreck did not respond to phone calls or emails about the birth. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie moved into the Miraval estate villa in the French hamlet of Correns in the Provence region so says the may and the inn’s owner. THe mayor further says he hopes the will live normally there.
Of course giving birth is just the first steps for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the also have to be parents to these children at least for the next 18 to 24 years. Childhood years are critical years for children to learn. A young person’s mind’s comprehension is at its highest level during childhood and as new parents Brad and Angelina will need to take advantage of these formative years to instill values for their children that will last a lifetime.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie must do more than give the kids a nice home at the Miraval Estate villa in Correns, they must teach the children positive habits they will know all the beautiful things life has in sotre for them. the first things that kids bring into their psyche are the ones that stay with them and mold their growing years until they are adults. Childhood is not a time for absentee parenting by Brad or Angelina.
A big difference exists between children that learn only thru self discover and the kids that learn with self discovery with guidance. It is that parental guidance through childhood that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will need to give their kids as they grow up in the Miraval Estate villa in Correns France.
Many parents go through hardships as kids themsleves and this leaves it hard for them to know how to raise their own children. Many others overcame the obstacles of difficult childhood and rose to become successful financially and in life, as did Angelina Jolie. Despite being in a financially better position to guide their children to a better life they prefer their children undergo the same difficulties in life so they can learn from them just like they did. When in fact if Angelina Jolie does this for her children she will be robbing them of the self discovery opportunites that helped her succeed.
So congrats to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and all the attention that is now focused on the Miraal Estate in Correns France. I’m sure everyone will enjoy it.
OMG! Did you see the season 4 finale of LOST tonight? It was awesome! I can’t believe what happened to Jin or what happened to the freighter or what happened to Locke or what happened to the Island!!! LOST is the best show ever!
Then I got really excited that Evengeline Lilly was going to be on Jimmy Kimmel (and Josh Holloway will be on tomorrow night) only to realize it was a rerun! Bummer! And then there was the ad of Octagon something, I think it was Octagon Global Recruiting or something like that. It appears that a strong earthquake has shaken the southern portion of Iceland Thursday causing damage to roads and buildings. A statement by the U.S. Geological Survey stated the magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck at 3:46 pm local time and that the epicenter was near a town named Selfoss, about 30 miles east of the Iceland capital, Reykjavik. Iceland officials say they measured the quake at 6.3.
The 300,000 people who call Iceland home know they live on a geologically unstable volcanic rock up in the north Atlantic…but they love it! The last big one in Iceland was back in June of 2000 and measured 6.6 on the Richter scale. Read the rest of this entry »
And not in a good way! Jennifer Butler Murray wife of entertainer Bill Murray has filed for divorce after 11 years of marriage. In her complaint Jennifer Murray alleges her husband Bill Murray abused her and that he is addicted to alcohol and marijuana. Jennifer Murray and Bill Murray have four children together.
This is in contrast to the breakup of George Clooney and his girlfriend, of course they were only together for a year, not 11 years like Bill Murray and his wife Jennifer Murray. You have to wonder what effect this will have on the four children. Read the rest of this entry »
AS of this morning comcast.net is back on line and appears to be working well. A company spokesperson did in fact confirm that the Comcast portal had been hacked into Wednesday evening. The attack left subscribers unable to access their email and other services delivered through the company’s web site. It is still unclear what, if any, subscriber data may have been compromised.
By all appearances the Comcast.net home page has been hacked and as of this writing is currently down. The attack began Wednesday evening when unknown hackers broke into the Comcast system. Indications now are that the site is back under Comcast control. This break-in has left Comcast sucscribers if any of their personal information or email has been compromised. The answer to that is presently unknown.
This brings into sharp relief however the importance of provding your own safeguards for your online persona. While it is incumbent upon your ISP to do their best to protect you, the full burden of any data lost during the attack cannot lie solely on the ISP. Nee the end user the subscriber must accept some responsibility for any data loss that may have occurred. Heaven knows they are going to be responsible for any attempted data recovery. Tonight Stephanie Izard of Chicago, won the elimination challenge on Bravo TV’s“Top Chef,” secured her place in the finals of the reality TV cooking show. Cooking her fanny off, Stephanie won tonight’s challenge at Rick Tramonto’s Tramonto Steak and Seafood. Tramonto called her efforts the most well-rounded of the night. Stephanie Izard and the rest of the final four compete in two more episodes that were filmed in Puerto Rico.
But you have to wonder, a reality tv show about cooking…really? What is the big draw of reality tv anyway? remember when survivor popped up on CBS for the first time? I do. You couldn’t go anywhere without hearing about survivor this and survivor that. The first season or two was even interesting. Today, there are literally dozens of reality shows that promise to transform the everyday contestants into chefs, actors, singers, brides, grooms, and any of a plethora of other possibilities.
